Claude can look at pictures

Claude can read images such as photos, screenshots, charts and handwritten notes, and explain what they show.

Click the attach button and choose a picture from your device. On a phone you can also take a photo directly.

Type what you need, for example: What does this chart show? or Transcribe the text in this photo.

Avoid uploading photos with private details of other people, such as ID cards. Crop out sensitive parts first.
